Join me in this online camp for ages 8 – 11 where you’ll learn to compose and write a song!
Who can sign up?
This camp is for children aged 8 to 11. They do not need to have learnt the piano before and can participate without one. Students at pianowithpo are therefore welcome to invite their friends to do the camp with them!
When is the camp?
The camp runs for 5 days, from Monday, 6th July to Friday, 10th July 2020.
We will meet each day of camp over Google Meet for 2 hours.
There are two sessions available for the camp, either in the morning or in the afternoon. When you register for the morning or afternoon session, you are registering for that same session for the duration of the five days. You cannot mix and match mornings and afternoons as this will disrupt the group dynamic that is formed on day one.
How big are the groups?
Each session needs a minimum of 3 students and will have a maximum of 5.
How will the camp work?
Two hours is a long time to be sitting and looking at a screen so there will be a good mix of physical and “away from the screen” activities each day (e.g. drawing, writing, etc). During these activities, Google Meet should stay on in the background so that I can check in and provide help to students.
What will I need?
Before the camp starts, I will deliver a package to your home with the materials that students will need for the week. You will also receive the invitation details to Google Meet.
The things that you will need to provide are:
- Device (laptop / tablet / phone) for the student to connect to Google Meet. Please charge the device before the start of the camp, or connect it to a power source during the two hours. There’s no need to sit in front of the piano so you can sit the device on a table or desk where the student will be participating from.
- A pencil and sharpener
- An eraser
- Coloured pencils or crayons or markers (not large ones)
For a great experience for everyone, please try to keep background noises to a minimum (though I will use the mute button as needed!).
How much is the camp?
The camp fee is S$350.00 per student and includes the materials that will be delivered to you, as well as the printed booklet of student compositions after the camp.
Students who have a friend signing up for the camp will receive a 10% discount, and siblings will also receive a 10% discount.
How do I sign up?
Please use the form below to sign up for the camp. Payment details will be sent to you once your registration is received. Your camp spot is only reserved once payment has been made. The last day to register is Monday, 22nd June 2020.
As a lot of preparation goes into preparing for the camp, only a 50% refund will be given if you cancel your participation prior to 30th June 2020. No refunds will be given for cancellations thereafter or for no-shows.
